Licensing
Through its legacy as a drug discovery company, Asterand has developed a number of therapeutic programs that are currently available for out licensing. Developed by Asterand's predecessor company, Pharmagene, these drug discovery programs are primarily in the areas of CNS, gastrointestinal and immuno-inflammatory diseases. Asterand's portfolio consists of novel chemistry and a number of composition of matter patents. Asterand has successfully licensed IP to BTG plc (novel EP4 receptor antagonists for migraine) and Allergan, Inc (novel prostanoid receptor agonists for eye disease) and we continue to seek partners to develop our remaining portfolio of therapeutic programs.
