Increased antibody value and marketability is as easy as 1-2-3
Step 1:
Asterand's PhazeZERO® Target Validation Service group will look for a suitable positive control tissue by mining the TargetEvaluator® Database which holds gene expression data for over 2000 druggable targets across 72 human tissue types each from three donors.

Asterand's XpressWay® Profiles are quantitative human gene expression data (216 data points), which are generated using quality controlled, qRT-PCR expressed mRNA with validated primer sets. Antibody candidates may be raised against a target with known expression in a tissue. TargetEvaluator® allows alternative selection if a tissue with higher expression (e.g. pineal gland, seen in above stellar plot) at the mRNA level which may increase the likelihood of a successful antibody validation assay. This process will confirm the greatest imaging expression opportunity.

Step 2:
The antibody is then tested at 5 concentrations following 2 heat mediated antigen retrievals, in positive control tissues to find the most suitable IHC protocols for use with the antibody. A third option of proteolitic antigen retrieval is also available upon request.

Step 3:
Asterand provides the highest quality digital photomicrographs of the research antibody's immunoreactivity along with data regarding the optimum conditions for end user application of the antibody. This data increases validity for datasheets while expression images increase value for marketing efforts when uploaded to the company website for customer review.
